RESEARCH INTERESTS

My scientific interests focus on the role of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the response of plants to various abiotic stresses. My research area includes the characterisation of the antioxidant system and ecophysiological aspects of metabolism in Arabidopsis thaliana and Populus sp. Another area of interest is the phylogeny of the antioxidant system, oxygenic photosynthesis and aerobic metabolism in different groups of organisms and their presumed role in the early stages of life evolution on Earth.

PRACTICAL SKILLS
